jp.ik supports AMI’s emergency mission in Venezuela

Porto, 16 July 2026 – jp.ik has joined AMI – International Medical Assistance Foundation’s emergency mission in Venezuela with a donation to support the humanitarian response and the communities affected by the earthquakes that struck the country.

On 24 June, two powerful earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 struck northern Venezuela less than a minute apart. The earthquakes caused significant destruction, particularly in Caracas and the state of La Guaira, leaving thousands of people in urgent need of assistance.

In response to the emergency, AMI deployed a first-response team comprising members of its International and Logistics departments. Working with local organisations, the mission is supporting the distribution of hygiene kits and food parcels to approximately 300 families in remote areas of La Guaira. AMI has also identified mental health support as one of the main needs and is developing a psychological support strategy with local professionals.

jp.ik’s donation will contribute to this response and will be allocated by AMI according to the needs identified on the ground.

“In the face of a humanitarian emergency of this scale, we cannot remain indifferent. People is one of the values that guides everything we do at jp.ik, and we believe our responsibility must extend beyond our business activities. Through this contribution, we want to support AMI’s work and help the affected families and communities through this extremely difficult time,” said João Paulo Sá Couto, CEO of JP Sá Couto, the company behind the jp.ik brand.

This initiative reflects jp.ik’s commitment to acting responsibly and supporting communities, particularly in situations of heightened vulnerability.
